I usually don&#8217;t have enough time in an hour class to do hip work, but we will try to open as much as possible.<\/p>\n<p>Pranayama will start with Dirgha the complete or long breath.<\/p>\n<p>Toe stretch with sun breath with a short hold at the top to get\u00a0a little\u00a0charge of prana.<\/p>\n<p>Calf stretch with an added arm work to help build strength in the arms.\u00a0 Side body stretch and Marjariasana (cat) rolls.<\/p>\n<p>Adho Mukha Svanasana (Downward Facing Dog) with a little stretch added in.\u00a0 Adho Mukha Svanasana variation to Raja Kapotasana\u00a0 variation (King Pigeon Variation, or Swan) add blocks and thigh stretch.<\/p>\n<p>The new hip openers are brought back for one last week then Adho Mukha Svanasana (Downward Facing Dog) to Marjariasana (Cat) with hip circles.\u00a0 Anajeyasana (runner)\u00a0with twists.<\/p>\n<p>Prasarita Padottanasana (Wide leg forward fold) with added twist perhaps Skanda will flow into here.<\/p>\n<p>Tri Yogas penguin &amp;\u00a0frog with squashed frog \ud83d\ude1b \u00a0\u00a0Wide Leg Tortoise (Tri Yoga), Balasana (child),\u00a0 Baddha Konasana (Cobbler), Upavista Konasana (seated wide leg forward fold) seated Malasana( squat 1).<\/p>\n<p>Apply aromatherapy of Ananda blend from Yoga Flow Oils thank you Susan.<\/p>\n<p>Roll down to Supta Padangusthasana (reclined hamstring stretch with strap)<\/p>\n<p>Ananda Balasna (happy baby),\u00a0 Apanasana (knees to chest), Jathara Parivartanasana (reclined twist), Apanasana (knees to chest), Savasana\u00a0 \ud83d\ude2e<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Back from training and I learned how important it is to open the hips using the breath.
