Pranayama: easy seat with arm movements to Dirgha breath

1/4 dog using block, giving the ol traps a squeeze, thread the needle, anahatasna, rabbit Sasangasana, cat with knee lift, table of torture, Doug Keller work for the shoulders, Wanda’s block work, goddess with eagle arms. Moving through some shoulder openers using the strap to assist the stretch. Being ever mindful of the high mobility of the shoulder but also the instability of the shoulder.  Aromatherapy & Savasana to integrate it all.

Opening the heart to then New Year. 7pm Yum Yum

Pranayama: supported backbend over bolster.

Rolling knee drops with arm slide, fingers in the sand shoulder openers, gomakasana arms.  Cat flow, half boat, cobra 1 with a twist, cobra 2 flow.  Easy seat forward fold and twist then to the wall for bridge rolls and legs up the wall for  savasana.

Finding the shoulders and upper back. Wed 530 Fundamentals

Pranayama over 2 blocks to open the upper back and heart.

1/4 dog using blocks, thread the needle, elbows on blocks anahatasana, rabbit, cat, table of torture.  Doug Keller work for the shoulders on the wall.  Using flex bands for a few strengthening moves. Goddess with eagle arms.  Using the wall to stretch out the shoulders.  Goddess shoulder dip, forward fold, cat, child walking hands side to side. Aromatherapy and Savasana.

The shoulder stretches done at the wall had a request for more detail to them so here we go. Standing next to wall have palm on wall with fingertips pointing down just lower than hip height. Step forward 1/2 step. Keep collarbones broad, shoulders relaxed, feet straight and lined up. Step back to release.

Pranayama:  Sahaja, Dirgha, box breath

Point & flex feet, reverse table, roll back and twist, toe stretch with eagle arms, rabbit, forearm plank with oblique twist.  Sun Salutations with wild thing, belly of the dragon, standing strength mixed in. Balance flow.  Squat with twist, gate pose, quad stretch, Janu Sirsasana with twist, 1/2 lord of the fishes with bind, seated star, seated wide leg forward fold.  Aromatherapy and Savasana

The shoulders, the shoulders. Always tight it just isn’t right. Mon 7pm Yum Yum

Pranayama:  Sahaja over bolsters on each side then on the back  supported bridge.

Opening up the shoulders in a slow methodical way tonight.  Almost all of this will be on the floor so be cozy with a blanket or two on top of your mat.  Slow repetitive movements will allow these usually tight muscles to open.

Opening up the side body and shoulders for Thanksgiving. 7pm Wed

Pranayama over a bolster on each side then on back feeling the opening of the chest and side body.

Flowing through some Feldenkrais movements for the side body as well as the shoulders and hips. Aromatherapy & Savasana.

Pranayama:  Standing  Sahaja, Dirgha

Golf ball for the feet, neck stretches, reed posture,  Forward fold with legs crossed.  Toe balance to floor swan add thigh stretch.  frog with bolster, supine hamstring stretch with strap, knees to chest , twists, happy baby, aromatherapy & Savasana.

Bands were fun but Rollers are a Riot. Tues 530 Core

Using the support of the roller under the spine just breathing and getting the feeling of this.

Tonight getting the feeling of the roller before making it too hard we will add in some balance challenges.  The class will end with a self massage using the roller.  You will sleep great tonight.  Don’t be worried I also have some half rollers for those that feel too unstable on the roller.  It is a given there will be lots of laughs as well as strengthening to the core.

Opening the back with gentle stretches. 7pm Yum Yum

Pranayama: Sahaja, Dirgha, Nadi Shodhana

Moving to the wall to open the upper back and shoulders.  Body draped over bolster, feet on blocks at the wall, head on block and we will open like a flower here.   Using the wall for a backbend with the awareness of the dowel to awaken the side body.   Continuing with the wall for Triangle, Side Angle and Warrior 2  using blocks for alignment.   Finishing off the shoulder openers with some more wall work then a nice twist using the wall and a chair.  Nice Savasana with aromatherapy

Hello Fall let’s roll & Flow. Friday 1115am Shanti Flow

Pranayama: Seated breath of joy and when we move to standing – standing breath of joy.

Cat rolls, opposite hand and leg balance, gate adding leg circles, 1/4 dog. Standing breath of joy, reed, gentle flow sun salutation, forward fold with crossed legs, chair with chair kicks, warrior 1, humble warrior, pyramid, revolved triangle, moon triangle, wide leg forward fold.  Goddess squat and twist, wide leg forward fold with twist. Toe balance to floor, cobbler, janu sirsasana, aromatherapy, leg circles, frog legs, happy baby, savasana.
