Pranayama: Sahaja, Dirgha, Nadi Shodhana propping the elbow up to bring more ease.

Opening the neck and shoulders then adding in the eyes.  We so often forget to excercise the muscles of the eyes. Shoulder joint flow, then to the back to fingers in the sand, hip side stretch, hip rotations, leg stretch, cradle, reclined butterfly. Roll up, aromatherapy and Savasana.

Supine twist, cradle work, hip rotations, can can, roll like a ball, reverse table, cat rolls.  Swan to downward dog, runner type hip opener, 1/2 hanuman.  Penguin, frog, tortoise, easy seat pelvis stretch, hamstring stretches with strap, happy baby, supine crossed leg twist.

Tri Yoga Turns always fun. Monday 530 Shanti Vinyasa

Pranayama: Sahaja, Dirgha, Nadi Shodhana

Gentle flow of a sun salutation with added cat bows 1 & 2, 1/2 hanumanasana to open the hips for the turns.  Working on the turns regular cat turns and the ever popular downward dog, swan, squat tortoise, cat, downward dog and repeat.  Using blocks helps with the move from squat tortoise to cat and then to downward dog.  Squat to forward fold back and forth then to basic hand balance.  L-Seat with 1/2 cowface pose or both legs in cowface pose, cobbler with forward fold, basic squat to roll down to hip side stretch.  Oils and Savasana.

Pranayama: Sahaja, Dirgha

Cat rolls, hip circles to open up the hips. Sun Salutation with swan to downward dog alternating moves, raised runner with prayer twist, 1/2 hanumanasana, vinyasa to wide leg forward fold to Skanda. Dolphin with dolphin planks with leg raises, walking in to get feeling of forearm balance.  Downward dog, hop forward to crow balance position repeat then move into crow balance, hop back to plank ?? Hop feet outside hands for firefly, malasana. Squat using 2 blocks then Tolasana hand balance, toe stretch and toe balance.  twist and folds to round out the class.

Open up stretches to do anytime. Thurs 530pm

Few cat rolls and toe stretch, opening the hands with stretches. Standing and opening the feet with a golf ball really feeling the areas that are tender. Moving through some flows that have strength building in them with cat bows. Hip openers, standing postures including 1/2 moon, pigeon, double pigeon, 1/2 lord of the fishes, janu sirsasana.

Pranayama: seated in chair Sahaja, Dirgha, Nadi Shodhana

Tonight will be yoga in a chair to fine easy movement and awareness in the body. Pelvic rolls, seated hip drop, pelvis rock the clock, hug yourself back and side openers.  Sit to stand with a twist, supine hip/leg slides, head rolls, aromatherapy and Savasana

Removing blanket and coming into Sun breath which will be our thread tonight between postures.  Bridge, chin nods, table top knee lift, tree pose, cobbler, supine twist, lumbar rotation, prone single leg lift, cat rolls, easy sit side bend, forward bend and side to side. Neck rolls, aromatherapy, Savasana with legs on Bolster

Hip, Hip, Hurray Opening the Hips. Wed 530 Fundamentals

Starting in legs up the wall to leg the legs relax and the blood flow into the hips for deeper opening.

Pranayama while in legs up the wall. Sahaja, Dirgha

Bridge rolls on the wall, cradle stretch, 1/2 cowface, wide leg with assist from me to release the low back.

Rolling up to feel the “new hips” in Sun Salutations working through any limitations that may show up. Then see what we have time for below.

Roll off wall and up to hands and knees.  Hip rolls, cat rolls, fire hydrant rolls, lunge, 1/2 Hanuman with holds, lizard, swan add bows, quad stretch using wall.  Mandukasana (frog), child. Aromatherapy to leg lifts and lower, leg stretch with strap, Savasana.
