Gentle flow of a sun salutation with added cat bows 1 & 2, 1/2 hanumanasana to open the hips for the turns. Working on the turns regular cat turns and the ever popular downward dog, swan, squat tortoise, cat, downward dog and repeat. Using blocks helps with the move from squat tortoise to cat and then to downward dog. Squat to forward fold back and forth then to basic hand balance. L-Seat with 1/2 cowface pose or both legs in cowface pose, cobbler with forward fold, basic squat to roll down to hip side stretch. Oils and Savasana.

Cat rolls, hip circles to open up the hips. Sun Salutation with swan to downward dog alternating moves, raised runner with prayer twist, 1/2 hanumanasana, vinyasa to wide leg forward fold to Skanda. Dolphin with dolphin planks with leg raises, walking in to get feeling of forearm balance. Downward dog, hop forward to crow balance position repeat then move into crow balance, hop back to plank ?? Hop feet outside hands for firefly, malasana. Squat using 2 blocks then Tolasana hand balance, toe stretch and toe balance. twist and folds to round out the class.

Pranayama over two block to start to open the upper body.
Cat rolls, cat hip rolls. Toe stretch, top of foot stretch to roll over top of feet using blocks to assist. Hand balance, squat 1, extended squat. Reverse table to open the chest. Standing strength flowing through these postures to warm the hips before the big openings. Leg stretch to open the hamstrings.
The deeper postures for opening the hips will be Penguin and extended frog. Skanda To the floor Sukasana stretch some gentle twist, aromatherapy and savasana.

Opening the hips with swan rolls, then strength with cat bows, serenity twist. Getting ready for standing strength with gate, pyramid sway then flowing through the standing postures. Stretching out with a few twists including a different way to do Janu Sirsasana. Aromatherapy & Tranquility.

Got your attention with the bondage right?? 😛 Well we are going to use a strap to really open the shoulders through out most of the class tonight. Putting the strap on even before pranayama practice tonight. Feeling the breath move through the body with the awareness of the strap. Sahaja, Dirgha, Box
Toe stretch with shoulder openers.
Sun Salute slowly still with the strap on to bring awareness as to when or if the shoulders want to roll forward. Standing strength with the strap still on. Deviasana, Triangle, Reverse triangle, 5 point star, Warrior 2, Side Warrior, Warrior 2, Deviasana up on toes, Wide Leg Forward Fold. other side. Balance: Tree with strap still on and bringing the knee forward to a balancing twist. Remove strap and feel the lightness and openness of the upper body.
Forward fold to squat one, repeating to open the hips and work the core. Hand balance tonight with Tolasana and crow. Janu Sirsanasa forward fold and twists. Pin Wheel release for the hips and shoulders, wide leg forward fold with strap. Aromatherapy and Savasana

Flowing through Sun salutation easy and gentle then adding in Upward dog to Downward dog swings, swan, and runners hamstring stretch. Gate, then into the standing strength. Balance: Tree to extending leg forward then extending back to airplane. Breathing and balancing, centering the body.
Uttanasana to squat one moving back & forth between these two movements to Hand Balance. Seated forward folds and twists round out the night. Aromatherapy then rock the clock before releasing into Savasana.

Summer solstice was last night and still today so lets focus inward and allow healing.
Last weeks hand balancing went very well, however the core work just makes it so much easier so we will be adding in some Pilates based work and see how much of a difference it makes. 8)
Pranayama: Sahaja, Dirgha, Sun Breath moving hands up the mid-line to swan dive down toward feet.
Using 2 blocks for squat work, lowering to the floor and back up. Sustaining the squat and extending one leg and holding then the other. Hand balance Tolasana. Toe stretches, foot stretch and ankle/calf stretch.
Roll like a ball, Navasana flow. Knees to chest ab work we did a couple of weeks ago just to keep it fresh in the body.
Cat rolls. Standing strength.
Balance fun: Star Crane Tree Balance stick as a flow no touching down if you can help it. Chair with twist up to a balance posture. Twists and forward folds before aromatherapy.

Moving from standing to squat using blocks then to hand balance again.
Release the shoulders with Prone shoulder opener. Forward folds and twists to settle the mind and body before Savasana.
