Moving up the body to Scrumptious Shoulders & Neck. Mon 7pm Yum Yum

From heavenly hips moving into the scrumptious shoulders and neck tonight.

Starting seated on the chair for pranayama.  Sahaja, Dirgha.  Right off the bat we will try to get the traps to get their nose out of the neck.  So releases for the traps and side of the neck muscles.  Then we will see how that has opened up the right/ left sides of the brain with a little brain teaser  using our hands.

Moving to the wall to work on just standing straight.  Stabilizing the shoulder blades and stretching the neck with wall presses.  Wall stork to lift the leg but keep everything else in alignment.  Arm circles with “golfers grip” moving the shoulder joint not the elbows or wrists.

Back to the wall with elbow curls.  Finding out what the range of motion is and offering this tool to open it more.   Crossover catus  to prepare for Eagle arms.

Moving back to the chair for overhead side bends, forward folds and twists and one little stretch for the feet. Placing the feet on a block and coming up to the ball of the foot sustain the stretch and then lower the heel down sustain that stretch before aromatherapy applied in the comfort of the chair.  Admiring those fabulous feet.

Open heart, strong back. Mon 530pm

Pranayama over blocks to open the heart.  Sahaja, Dirgha, Box breath.

Adding alittle Om Yoga to the flows  from Cindy Lee tonight.  A deep shoulder opener being ever mindful of the high mobility and unstable shoulder joint…… do what is right for you.

Toe Stretch with arm movements as well as mudras. Up to standing for a gentle flowing sun salutation. Visiting some heart openers tonight with cobra, bow, camel, bridge rolls then a supported bridge with leg lifts and offering an unusual.. not for everyone quad opener.    Down from bridge to happy baby, hip side stretch and to the good stuff aromatherapy and Savasana.

Pranayama: Sahaja, Dirgha, Nadi Shodhana

Starting with finding the transverse abdoninals, multifindus, & pelvic diaphragm muscles and using them to understand the importance for the back  & neck and overall wellness.  Building strength in the glutes with clam shell and bridge then release into child.  Onto chair work tonight to strengthen the lower body, hip drops, chair squats, toe raises, wall push ups, Step downs, calf stretch, chair twist at wall.

Coming to floor for Aromatherapy which will be Anxiety Ease Blend from Yoga Flow Oils, thank you Susan.

Chin nods and circles.  Neck opener for savasana.  Can have legs up wall.

Opening the hips and shoulders, adding balancing and core. Tues 745pm

Pranayama: Sahaja, Dirgha, Nadi Shodhana

Cat rolls, cat hip circles, toe stretch, neck stretches, shoulder rolls. Nice and juicy ready to move. Reverse table, roll like a ball, Navasana flow, Can Can.  Bridge rolls, hip rotations, hip side stretch to release these muscles.

Balance: Forward fold to squat, raised standing 1 &2, Shiva balance, Chair twist with balance.

Sun Salutations with some twists and swings added in. A Little dolphin, cat, child, rock.   Twists and Forward folds close the class.

Opening the hips, shoulders and working the core. Tues 530pm

Pranayama: Sahaja, Dirgha,   Skull Shining Breath

100’s, Leg stretch to open the hamstrings, Hip rotations, shoulder openers.  Frog leg rolls, Dead Bug, Crisscross toe taps with wide circles,  Can Can (we all can 🙂   Side leg series that we all love, hot potato, knee toe and more.  Prone to strengthen and balance the work we did with the abdominal muscles with back work. Opposite arm & leg,  Heel beats.  Sweet twists and stretches.

Yum Yum Yoga starts tonight. Mon 7pm

Pranayama: Sahaja, Dirgha, Nadi Shodhana

Opening the neck and shoulders with gentle stretches. Moving onto the eyes, so often we forget the eyes have muscles in them and we don’t  fully use, so tonight we will move through the  eye movements to release and relieve tension in the eyes.

Shoulder openers and twists. The other place tension is held is in the hips so onto opening and moving the hips.  Aromatherapy, Savasana, and meditation will finish the Yum Yum yoga for tonight.

Time to open the shoulders and the hips DEEPLY. Tues 745pm

Pranayama: over noodle first then moving onto blocks to deepen the opening, arms will go over head to start to open the shoulders.  Sahaja, Dirgha

Sleepwalker, leg stretches, hip rotations, supine cobbler with twist, knees to chest twist adding in shoulder opener, Hip side stretch with long hold and my assist to help open.  😀  Both sides 

Deep shoulder openers: some of these I have not shared before so be careful and mindful of your body.  Prone- arms in “T”  roll onto arm and side body, Thread the needle move only lots more…. and then adding on to this.   Cobra 1 with twist.   Spinal flow rest in child 2

Hips: Raised runner with open & closed twist, hip flexor stretch, external hip openers, calf stretch

Twists,  cradle.  Savasana

Tri Yoga continuing with Level 1 series Mon 530

Pranayama: Sahaja, Dirgha, Box breath

Building strength by jumping back to Mountain (Downward Dog) then opening the hamstrings with extended leg stretch. Gate, Extended Child, Toe Stretch, Toe Balance.

Standing Posture flow adding in the extended bend with extended shoulder stretch.  Mountain to cat movement to build strength in the arms, Cat Bow 2. Spinal Flows with Cobra1/Boat, Cobra 2,  Sphinix.

Moving from monkey to mountain, mountain to pyramid 1,  pyramid 1 to toe balance  adding these jumps in to bring awareness to the abdominals that are such a large part of TriYoga practice. Upper body strength with hand balance. FF twist   Aromatherapy     Tranquility

Subbing Judy’s  stretching & meditation class tonight.

Pranayama: Sahaja, Dirgha, Nadi Shodhana

Moving the joints of the ankles and feet, inversion & eversion of the leg and foot. Shoulder joint movements of cactus arms, Bird Wings.   Mula rolls for the spine, Cobbler with twist, Easy seat with forward fold and walking to each side, feeling the lungs expand fully.

Facedown strengthening the back with Cobra 1, to Cobra1/Boat.  These are the very movements that babies first make to gain strength before they begin walking.  These are very important muscles to maintain and keep healthy. Alternate leg lifts keeping the back strong and safe.  Child to stretch out the back

Supine Rock the Clock,  Bridge rolls, Hip Side Stretch.  Leg lifts to sustain the lift and stretch toward the head, out to the side, and across the body. Tri Yoga Hip Rotations, Happy Baby,  Reclined Twist.

Roll up for Aromatherapy oils and then to Savasana and Meditation.

Hold on to your flow- strength tonight with arm balances. Tues

Time to check in again with the arms and give them some work. Tonight we will be looking closely at arm balances.

Pranayama:  Standing Sahaja, Dirgha, Sun Breath.

Salutations with twists and 1/2 Hanumanasana in.  Opening up the arms and shoulders with Dolphin and variations of Dolphin.  Fun times are here   🙂 Arm balances:  Crow with option to hop back to plank.   Hopping forward to Firefly,  Tolasana.

Moving from standing to squat using blocks then to hand balance again.

Release the shoulders with Prone shoulder opener.   Forward folds and twists to settle the mind and body before Savasana.
