Sun breath supine will be the link between all postures tonight. Bridge, chin nod, table top knees, reclined tree, reclined cobbler, supine twist, lumbar stretch, 1/2 locust, cat rolls, pelvis leveler, neck rolls, aromatherapy and Savasana

Finding the strength in the legs. Tues 745pm LFF Sem

Pranayama: Sahaja, Dirgha, Ujjai, Shining skull slow

Squat to forward fold and back down warming up the legs and buttocks. Forward fold, runner adding a pulse, bending both knees deeply the back one hovering off the floor and hold breathe, add arm movements, downward dog, 3 leg dog, hip openers, runner with breathing twist, lizard, 1/2 Tibbiasana, downward dog, vinyasa to child then other side.

Downward Dog to runner, Skanda sliding back and forth, jump to toe balance, forward fold, chair up on toes, standing still on toes to chair still on toes WOW those feet Yummy.  Down to the floor to stretch out the legs, hips. Aromatherapy, leg stretch with strap and Savasana

Pranayama: seated Sahja, Dirgha, Nadi Shodhana.

Cat rolls, table balance, reverse table with block between knees, inversion and eversion, 1/2 hanuman with holds.  Crescent warrior with a strap overhead to open side body as well as lifting up to Warrior 1.  Folding the strap tightly and then placing between the ankles barbie doll feet to lift the inner thighs.  Supine high leg cross open & close with the breath. Frog leg pushes, hip circles, supta padangusthasa using strap overhead to open side body, hold strap between ankles again, feeling the inner thigh strength.  Aromatherapy, Savasana

Core and More. Breaking out the magic circles 530pm Tues

Pranayama:  Sahaja, Dirgha to bring clarity to the mind

working through a Pilates class only using the “magic circle” to increase some of the work.  Not my favorite as it is hard but we will have lots of laughs.  Finding the abdominal muscles then adding in some crunches. Single leg roll up, 100’s , roll up, roll over, teaser???, rolling like a ball, straight leg rocker, open leg rocker, single leg stretch, double leg stretch, double leg lowers, criss cross, scissors, spine stretch, swan, hinge roll down, bridge, corkscrew.  Double leg kicks, pilates pulses, push downs, pulse ups, lift & pulse.  Pec squeeze, lat press, standing leg pulses, hip stretch, chin squeeze. Aromatherapy & Savasana

Loving up the knees today. Wed 1115am Lifestyles Family Fitness

Pranayama;  Sahaja, Dirgha,  Box breath, slow Kapalabhati.

Warming up the legs with a few leg lifts, hip rotations and a flow of bending the knees and extending either straight up or with legs wide.  Moving into extended leg stretch with a strap adding in a move to open the side body as well (step outside the box).  Anatasana, side leg raises, gate variation.  Cat rolls, Downward Dog,  Forward fold.  Testing the legs out with Yoga splits,  Warrior 1, thigh stretch, ankle churns.  Warrior 2, Side Warrior, Reverse Warrior, Triangle.  Balance today will be Dancing Shiva as well as Flamingo.  To the floor to twist and fold.   Aromatherapy and a test to see how the legs opened up with extended leg stretch with a strap again.  Savasana.

Tighten the core before the holidays. Tues 530 Core

Next week is Thanksgiving with all the wonderful traditions of the day including a nice huge meal. So to prepare the belly for all the work ahead lets strengthen and tighten the  core.

Breathing awareness with Sahaja, Dirgha breath.

Moving onto a typical Pilates mat class with a few extras added in.   We will be working with the bands for the legs as that was met with lots of groans so adding that in will make it easier each time we do it.   We will be adding in some Dolphin work tonight so prepare for planks and side planks with a twist. Closing with a few Feldenkrais movements before aromatherapy and Savasana.

Pranayama: Sahaja, Dirgha, Nadi Shodhana

Toe stretch which can be advanced, calf stretch, Achilles stretch,  1/4 dog stretch.  Some leg work tonight to find the strength as well as the balance to make postures easier and the breath free.  1/2 moon leg work to integrate it into Warrior 3, revolved 1/2 moon, revolved triangle.    Tonight we will also work the balance with a moving balance, knee to chest, balance stick, star, knee to chest with a twist all without touching down.   Folds and twist to settle into a Savasana frame of mind.

Rolling, Rolling, Rolling, Core class Tues 530pm

Here we go everyone, I have had some requests for a roller class and the place I get my props from had them on sale so I got some.

Tonight we will explore together the roller pilates style I am sure we will have some laughs and a workout.  I am still learning this so it will be a beginner level class.
